Week of August 25th
And we are school has started and we have dipped our toe in to Fall. My kids had bit of school to help them shift into school mode, but we did still have a few days free this week, so we took advantage and went apple and peach picking as well as big day trip to NYC for a family event and a little back to school shopping.
What did you plan to eat this week? Squeeze in any late summer favorites?
Here is what we ended up eating:
Monday- The Trader Joe’s marinated chicken with left over corn and black bean salad over rice.
Tuesday- Our farm Coop pick up day so we ate fruit, cucumbers, bread and Costco’s bare chicken nuggets-(most days I plan, but sometimes we end up scrapping it together)
Wednesday- Our first day of school tradition- Dorito salad!
Thursday- kid requested, homemade pasta with pesto, corn, and zucchini.
Friday- we made it thru week and celebrated with sushi.
Saturday- we spend the morning apple and peach and blueberry picking at Cider Hill and it is one of our favorite Fall traditions. That night we made pizza for dinner.
Sunday- I took the kids to New York City for the day to attend a bridal shower for a relative. It was a quick trip but we still were able to stop at Balthazar bakery and grab a bagel for the train home.
