Week of November 10th

We are in Thanksgiving countdown and the cold dark afternoons are settling in(so there has been lots of baking). I love to try out a few new items ahead to see if they are up for the task. Also some weeks are just duds, I think my kids didn’t love any meal this week, it happens!

Monday- I had grabbed bolognese sauce at The Modern Butcher, it was delicious with pasta. I also tested a brussels sprout apple salad, which was delicious.

Tuesday- Leeks with beans and italian sausage. I had high hopes for this but it just meh.

Wednesday- Lentil soup from Pinch of Yum. This is one of my favorites. I made sourdough focaccia to go with it, love those bubbles.

Thursday- Air fried chicken thighs, I marinated with yogurt, spices, and Trader Joes Chimichurri sauce. I love these, but they were bone in and my kids did not love them.

Friday- No one was home for dinner, snack dinner for me. My daughter made red velvet cake, so that may have been most of my dinner.

Saturday- Dinner with Friends. The made a delicious pasta bolognese and I made Ina’s pumpkin roulade, and I thought it was just ok.

Sunday- Roast chicken with squash, carrots, and potatoes. My favorite Sunday Fall dinner.
