Week of August 18th

This time of year is tough as summer is my favorite, but I can not help but get itchy for Fall as the weather hints of turning cool and the school supplies are out. I also sort of love September, all the glimmer of a fresh start and new beginnings and the return of a little more organization to my life.

Monday we cleaned out the fridge and made a left overs into pasta with sauce of corn, tomatoes and peppers. It was delicious.

Tuesday- I attempted a recipe I have seen popup a few times- pork and cabbage rice paper dumplings. I may give them another shot considering it could have been user error, but they were just ok. Taste was great but I could not get the right crunchy texture.

Wednesday- Bulgogi bowls, using the bulgogi from Trader Joes, rice, vegetables, and yum sauce. Always a crowd favorite.

Thursday- meet up with parents from school my child attends and they had a great charcuterie dish from a local cheese shop I have not tried, now it is on my list.

Friday and Saturday we were away staying with my parents while visiting with my husbands college roommates, AND celebrating my siblings birthdays. It was fabulous.

Sunday - A few parts of the farm share were not eaten yet, so I made my favorite black bean corn salad. I left corn raw and it was really good. We did a chip off between our two favorite chips( El Nacho Diablo and Mi Nina) and we still can’t decide which is our top favorite.
